Previously known as BO’S BASICS, the Contemporary Dance Progressives include a little bit of everything! In addition to technical exercises, we learn a combo and film it in small groups on the last day, with ample time to finesse and practice. Participants will be added to a WhatsApp group chat and sent videos of class exercises for optional further practice, in addition to videos of all choreography.

  • 6 x 2-hour Classes:

    • Targeted warm-up

    • Centre practice

    • Across the floor progressions 

    • Combo: taught over 2-3 classes

    • 1 x Personal Feedback via WhatsApp Voicenote

    • Professional Video Footage of Combo

    • Digital Welcome Booklet

    • Goal Setting + Journal Prompt Booklet

  • Beginner/Intermediate Dancers:

    • This is your level if:

      • You primarily train in other styles (heels, jazz funk, pole, etc.) and want to strengthen technical elements including leg lines, turns, balance, alignment/posture, and jumps, and/or;

      • You take multiple drop-in dance classes a week and excel at picking-up/following along with choreography, but struggle to fully/safely execute technical elements, and/or;

      • You are a former recreational or part-time competitive dancer who misses the environment, community, and practice of technique class

    • Dancers in this level likely:

      • Opt for a balance in rétiré or single pirouette

      • Feel most comfortable in first or second position

      • Keep most extensions below 90 degrees

    Intermediate/Advanced Dancers:

    • This is your level if:

      • You are an emerging/pre-professional dance artist looking for a weekly modern/contemporary technique class, and/or;

      • You are a current competitive dancer looking to complement your current training schedule, and/or;

      • You are a former competitive dancer who misses the environment, community, and practice of technique class

    • Dancers in this level likely:

      • Opt for a strong single or double pirouette

      • Feel comfortable working from fifth position

      • Have extensions that usually reach 90 degrees or higher
